Winter Solstice Fire & Women's Circle

Join us for a very special solstice fire, singing ceremony and celebration. We gather to honor the darkest night and the rebirth of the sun.

T he winter solstice occurs when the earth tilts the farthest from the sun, making it the darkest day of the year. But it is also the moment that the sun is 'reborn' and the light begins to lengthen. In this special solstice ceremony, we will gather together around the fire to honor the darkness and the light. We will sing, meditate, and have a sharing circle. This is a time to reflect and go inward. A time to rest as the plants and animals do. The evening will leave you feeling refreshed and will provide nourishing tools to support you throughout the winter. Please bring a notebook and pen.

More about the Solstice:

T he Winter Solstice is the darkest day of the year, but it also the moment that the sun is reborn again. How amazing that just when we think we are falling into complete darkness, the light returns and we begin yet another new cycle of birth, growth and death in nature. Here we are at a whole new year of life, experiences, and transformations. Anything can grow in your life. This is a time of pure potential.

W e are entering the season of winter, the season when everything appears to be dead and frozen in the natural world, however there is magic brewing in the darkness and through this moment of stillness, life renews itself once again.

F rom nature we learn that we need this time of stillness and this time of rest so that we are able to live to our greatest potential.
